Infighting Continues Over Mike Johnson’s Fight To Retain Speaker’s Gavel Day Of Vote

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson is trying to avoid the same fate that Kevin McCarthy suffered a couple of years ago, when he was ousted from the top spot in the house after a drawn-out fight for the gavel.
A group, that appears to be growing is threatening to derail Johnson’s bid in today’s vote over his past actions – even though – Johnson has received backing from President Donald Trump.
With Republicans holding a paper-thin majority in the House, just two defectors could block Johnson from holding on to the gavel for the next two years.
Thomas Massie being one of them – rallying against the Speaker on social media and echoing Rand Paul in reminding people that Johnson cast the deciding vote to allow FISA to search American records without a warrant & to send $60 Billion to Ukraine. The vote is set to happen at 12pm eastern time.
