Forget Resolutions. Here's My Secret to Purpose

As a performance psychology expert, I'm often asked about New Year's resolutions, but I'm not a fan of setting forced goals on January 1st. Whether you're an athlete, business person and/or wellness enthusiast, I will never challenge you to come up with a goal just because everyone else is doing it.

Instead, I focus on my values, which are health, love, and adventure. Every year, I reflect on whether these values still hold true for me.

I also think about three words that describe me at my best – bright, full-hearted, and strength-finder – and see if they still resonate.

Finally, I stay curious about new opportunities, whether it's professional speaking gigs or personal adventures with friends. This approach keeps me true to myself and open to new experiences.

For a deeper explanation as to why I take this approach instead of setting New Year resolutions, click the video below.
