Palestinian activist calls PA's decision to ban Al Jazeera ‘hasty’

The Palestinian Authority temporarily halted operations of Qatar's Al Jazeera television in the territory including its broadcasts, the Palestinian news agency WAFA said on Wednesday. Ammar Al-Dwaik, director general of the Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR), said the ban will harm freedom of speech and press freedom in Palestine.
