Filipino Vegetable Lumpia: A Crispy and Healthy Delight
When I first came to the Philippines, one of the very first dishes I tried was lumpia. I didn’t know it then, but this simple, crispy, and flavor-packed roll would become one of my all-time favorites. There’s something magical about its versatility—whether it's packed with meat, seafood, or just veggies, lumpia always hits the spot.

Today, I’m keeping it light and fresh with vegetable lumpia! It’s perfect as a snack, appetizer, or even a meal when paired with rice (because we all know rice completes everything).

Here’s what’s on my table: a mix of shredded carrots, cabbage, green beans, sayote, onion, and garlic, wrapped snugly in lumpia wrappers. Fry them to golden perfection, serve with a side of vinegar dip, and voilà—crunchy, tasty goodness!

Making lumpia has become a family tradition on holidays! My wife’s vegetable Lumpia is the best. It’s messy, fun, and oh-so-rewarding when you hear that first crunch.
