Note that in the Reptilians portion of this compilation, at 01:50 or so, a mention is made of Director John Carpenter's Alien and Aliens. It should be noted that while this depiction is incorrect (Ridley Scott directed these), it is apparently based on a grain of truth.

Regarding the original film Alien:

"The film was written by Dan O'Bannon, based on a story by O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett, and it features a crew that encounters a deadly extraterrestrial creature aboard their spaceship610. John Carpenter did not direct Alien; however, he is known for his own influential works in the horror genre, such as Halloween and The Thing. Interestingly, before Alien was developed, John Carpenter collaborated with Dan O'Bannon on a different project called Dark Star, which was a comedy sci-fi film.
