0621 Several times a week a Mareeba Shire Council employee or two drive all the way around and down to the riverfront to empty one bin. In doing so, when it's been raining, or raining, they chew the River Walk up and leave deep wheel ruts that fill up with water which inevitably end up needing more fill and leave the track un-walkable in places.
From the Station towards the falls is virtually un-walkable.
Common sense tells me if it was raining, or not, I'd park up the top of the train station walk over the bridge and down to empty the bin on the waterfront NOT drive ALL the way around and rut out the walking track each time in the process, but that's just me. It would be quicker too...
They do nothing other than empty the one bin the vast majority of the time.
Everything the Council does in Kuranda YOU pay for - time and time and time again...
