Don't conflate weather with climate. It's the single biggest persuasion mistake you can make on this topic because it paints you (to Democrats) as not understanding science.

The "hoax" part should be focused on the absurdity of the climate models, the level of panic, and the (probably) unaudited government funding of Green.
