Cop Stabbed During Arrest

On October 13th, 2022, Ohio officers responded to a residence for a mental health call concerning a delusional male who was in a state of psychosis. Upon arrival, one of the officers recognised the male from a previous incident. The male claimed that he could hear girls and that there was a home invasion. The officers were trying to be patient but knew that the situation could turn awry in an instant. The officer was safely transported to a hospital for medical attention while the male was successfully detained in custody. Thankfully, the knife missed any major artery and the wound was ultimately non fatal. The male was identified as 30-year-old Tyler. He was found guilty of Felonious Assault, Obstructing Official Business and Resisting Arrest charges and was sentenced to a mandatory prison term of 8 to 12 years.
