Max George going back to hospital after spotting strange sensation after surgery

Max George, singer for The Wanted, has revealed he is returning to the hospital after experiencing an unusual sensation in his chest following heart surgery. The 36-year-old recently had a pacemaker fitted to address an undiagnosed heart condition and was discharged on Christmas Day.

On Instagram, George shared concerns about a “flicking feeling” on the left side of his chest that doctors have yet to identify. He asked followers if they’d encountered similar issues, suggesting it could be a nerve-related sensation or a wiring adjustment might be needed.

Despite the setback, George has been optimistic, even taking his first walk outside with his dog, Albert, and sharing a photo of his Apple Watch showing a heart rate of 85 bpm. “Felt great to have my first few steps outside for a while,” he captioned.

George initially sought medical attention weeks before Christmas due to feeling unwell, leading to tests that uncovered heart issues requiring a pacemaker. Following the two-and-a-half-hour surgery, he praised NHS staff for their exceptional care, expressing gratitude for catching the condition early.

The singer also shared an image of his scar, located under a special tattoo marking the birthdate of his late bandmate, Tom Parker, who passed away in 2022. “I’m sure it’s being looked after,” George said, honoring Parker’s memory.

Determined to overcome this challenge, George told fans, “Although this is a huge shock and no doubt a setback, it’s something I’ll take on with all I’ve got!”
