Calabria was the place I was born, and Calabria food is what I am most nostalgic about now that I live abroad. Admittedly, my mum did not have a huge library of recipes in her repertoire, but those few dishes she use to prepare for me (and that she still does btw!) were hearty, comforty and so packed with flavours. Flavours of our land, such as tomatoes, veggies, organic beans, olive oil, freshly home-made pasta, chickens and rabbits from our backyards.
