Stalking Elk: Following a herd for a day

Come along with me on an epic adventure into the wild as I track down one of my favorite animals: elk. Growing up in Colorado and now living in Washington, I’ve been lucky enough to be around these incredible creatures for most of my life. But no matter how many times I see them, they never stop amazing me.

In this video, we’re diving into the world of elk during the rutting season. If you’ve never heard a bull elk bugle before, you’re in for a treat. It’s one of the coolest (and spookiest) sounds you’ll ever hear echoing through the forest. These bulls are absolute heavyweights, growing massive antlers every year just to show off their strength. It’s like nature’s bodybuilding competition.

I’ll take you through the entire experience—from tracking their movements, listening for their calls, and finally, coming face-to-face with some massive bulls. Trust me, seeing a bull elk up close, with antlers stretching 6 feet across, is something you’ll never forget.
