God's actions in the Old Testament are not contradictions; they are reflections of His perfect justice and mercy interacting with the sinfulness of humanity. The so-called "harsh" laws were allowances for a fallen world, never His ultimate desire. They were a necessary response to human rebellion, showcasing God's patience while paving the way for the ultimate revelation of His love through Jesus Christ.

The New Testament's declaration that "God is love" is only coherent through the lens of the Trinity. Without the Trinity, the concept of eternal love would collapse. God’s essence as love is eternally expressed within the perfect relationship of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This truth shatters any idea that God’s nature ever changes. Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son, embodies and affirms this eternal love, teaching that God's ultimate will is peace, reconciliation, and salvation.

When Jesus acknowledges Moses’ concessions on issues like divorce, He clarifies that these were not God's design but allowances for human sinfulness. This is consistent with the progressive unfolding of God's redemptive plan. In Christ, the fullness of God's will is revealed, transcending temporary regulations and leading humanity back to His original design of love and holiness.
