Modern Thinking

To understand why many people in our society, even some who profess Christianity, support things that contradict God's revealed will, it is helpful to examine their worldview. A key philosophy in modern Western society, even though it is often unacknowledged, is liberal humanism. In this lesson we study that belief system; we seek to understand why that philosophy, based on good values like equality, liberty, helpfulness, and the reduction of suffering, can promote systems that act against those values.
