Russian marines planted flags

Russian marines planted flags of the Russian Federation and their unit in liberated Novomikhailivka in the DPR. The video was published by the Russian Defence Ministry.

It is noted that the Pacific Fleet marines seized a large number of Western-made trophy weapons, including American Javelin and EW systems.

The video also shows episodes of fighting for a populated area, a German tank shot down and more trophy weapons.

The Defence Ministry reported the liberation of Novomikhailovka in the DPR on 22 April. The settlement was liberated as a result of successful actions of the units of the "Southern" grouping. Also, Russian troops improved their tactical position along the front line.

Observers noted that the liberation of Novomikhailivka brought the encirclement of Ugledar closer.
