Here's a simple and delicious recipe for New York steaks:

Perfectly Grilled New York Steaks
Ingredients:
2 New York strip steaks (about 1-inch thick)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
1 tbsp unsalted butter (per steak)
Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Steaks:

Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel.
Rub each steak with olive oil on both sides.
Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a small bowl. Generously season both sides of the steaks with this mixture.
Preheat the Grill:

Preheat your grill to high heat (450–500°F). If using a grill pan, heat it over medium-high heat until hot.
Grill the Steaks:

Place the steaks on the grill. Cook for about 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust the time for your desired doneness). Use a meat thermometer to check:
Medium-rare: 130–135°F
Medium: 135–145°F
Well-done: 155°F+
Rest the Steaks:

Remove the steaks from the grill and place a pat of butter on top of each. Cover loosely with foil and let rest for 5–10 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
Serve:

Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme if desired. Serve with your favorite sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
Tips:
Let the steaks come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking for even cooking.
Avoid flipping the steaks more than once to achieve a nice crust.
Use a cast-iron skillet if grilling isn't an option; the method is the same.
Enjoy your perfectly cooked New York steaks! 😊
