Bangkok hotel fire kills three foreigners on famous tourist street

The fire broke out at a hotel near Bangkok's popular backpacker district on Sunday (December 29), authorities said, with seven others being treated in hospital. A spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police said on Monday (December 30) the three deceased were a woman from Brazil who died at the scene, and two women from Ukraine and the United States who were pronounced dead at the hospital.
