Asslamoalaikum, Today we are presenting the recitation of the Holy Quran Surah Al-Araf Verse No.1-2 with Urdu and English Translation

The Holy Quran is the matchless Kalaam [Word] of that Lord Allah Almighty Who is the only Deity, the only Creator and the real Lord of the entire universe. He Allah Almighty revealed this Kalaam [Holy Quran] to the Holy Prophet Peace Be Upon Him. The blessed revelation began in the sacred month of Ramadan. Sayyiduna Jibraeel (AS) had the privilege of bringing the revelation to the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him). Some blessed ayahs were bestowed upon him directly. The divine revelation was revealed in stages over a period of about 23 years in Arabic language, the most eloquent language, according to circumstances and occurrences.

Al-Araf (al-Araf; meaning: The Heights) is the 7th chapter (surah) of the Quran, with 206 verses (ayat). Regarding the timing and contextual background of the revelation (Asbab al-nuzul), it is a "Meccan surah", which means it was revealed before the Hijra.

This chapter takes its name from verses 46–47, in which the word A'araf appears.

According to Abul Ala Maududi, the time of its disclosure is about the same as that of Al-Anam, i. e., the last year of the Islamic prophet Muhammad's residence at Makkah: the manner of its admonition clearly indicates that it belongs to the same period and both have the same historical background; however, it cannot be declared with assurance which of these two was uncovered before the other. The audience should keep in mind the introduction to Al-An'am.

Al-A'raf has some similarities to the Christian concept of Purgatory. Al-Haafith Al-Hakami said about the people of Al-A'raaf, "They will be kept between Paradise and Hell for a period of time that Allaah wills, then they will be allowed to enter Paradise."

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) has said that whoever recites the first four verses of surah al-Baqarah, accompanied by the 'ayatul kursi' together with the last three verses of this surah - and makes a habit of reciting these verses daily – his life, property and family will be protected and no evil shall come upon them.

Strengthening one's faith and preparing them for doomsday. It is also used in protection from evil and evil eye. Finally yet importantly, it was reported that Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) used to recite this Surah for Maghrib prayer

We pray to Allah Almighty give us permission to read Quran with translation and tafsir, and follow Allah Almighty commands and Sunte Rasool PBUH.

Ameen Allah hafiz
