A quick walk around the running engine after changing the spark plugs, Engine oil and oil filter.
Aircraft is secured with wheel chocks and the tail is secured to the floor with a heavy rope so the tail will not lift or pull forward.
The propeller that is attached is a ground adjustable type and is adjusted flat so it will not pull on the airplane. Great care must be used not to come close to the propeller. No loose clothing, things on the floor like extension cords or loose pieces of cardboard, rags must be clear and secured before starting the engine.
After starting the engine and carefully look for oil leaks and anything that might be rubbing.
If everything looks good shut it off and put it all back together and take it for a short test flight.
