While in Quebec City, Canada we spent a few hours with Martin, Co-owner of Griendel Brasserie Artisanale, talking about their beer, their amazing food, travel experiences, and some of his favorite US breweries. Martin is an intense guy!

In this Brewery Breakdown clip we tasted 2 of their most popular IPAs, the 5.2% rye 'Fashion Victim' and the 6.5% West Coast style 'Yosemite'

We found that they were very complimentary beers in that the Fasion Victim was more juicy whereas the Yosemite had a stronger hops flavor with that classic bitterness. Both brews follow the clean finishing, malt forward, and artisically layered flavor profile that Martin and Griendel have mastered. Characteristic of most of their beer, including these two, is a complex taste adventure where the flavors change with each sip.

Untappd says this about Fashion Victim: "A collaboration with our friends from Grands Bois, Fashion Victim is generously fruity, because it is doubly dry hopped. Brewed with a high percentage of rye, it has spicy notes and a rounded body!"

And this about Yosemite: "Our West Coast IPA has a malty body and clean bitterness, in addition to offering citrus notes and delicious resinous aromas."
