India's Formal Sector to Create Record Jobs in 2025 | Top Hiring Trends

India's job market is expected to expand significantly in 2025, with the formal sector likely to see a 10 per cent rise in hiring, according to the latest CIEL HR report. Key growth areas include semiconductors, cybersecurity, renewable energy, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Startups and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) firms are also expected to contribute to the surge with a purported aim to build "future-ready" teams. Earlier on December 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored job creation in the government sector as well. PM Modi said that the government provided over one million permanent jobs in the last 18 months while 71,000 persons were given appointment letters on a single day on December 23.
