Plant of the Week - Iceweed - was offered between December 28, 2024 through January 4, 2025.

Iceweed is a member of the Winter-Mint.
Iceweed costs 150 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 3, 7 and 8.)
Iceweed does 10 damage to any zombie which walks on it. (+5 damage per level)
Iceweed will chill zombies for three (3) seconds. (+1 second on levels 2, 5 and 8.)
Iceweed will extinguish fires from Explorer and Prospector zombies.
Iceweed will destroy barrels and pianos and the like. This will destroy Iceweed.

Commentary:
The third plant in the spiked plants line - Spikeweed, Spikerock and now Iceweed. Let's look at this plant closely.

Like its brethren, this plant likes being close to the action. However because the zombies have answers for the spiked plants line, you could be spending more Sun replenishing these plants instead of doing something else. So we really recommend these plants on columns 6-8 and column 3 if thrown Imps are a problem.

Bottom line:
Iceweed costs much more than its brethren. While you do get more benefits, we think the value of Iceweed really starts to shine when its cost drops to a more manageable 75 or even 100 Sun - which is where we would place its value. The problem is will the player keep this plant around until then?
