The Housemaid - Teaser Trailer (2025) Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried

Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried have been cast in the thriller The Housemaid. The movie is being directed by Paul Feig, who directed Bridesmaids, A Simple Favor, and the upcoming A Simple Favor sequel. Sweeney recently starred in the horror movie Immaculate, Sony's Madame Web, and the romantic comedy Anyone But You, while Seyfried's more recent projects include her starring role in the Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room and the Hulu series The Dropout.

As per Lionsgate, Sweeney and Feig have finalized their deals for The Housemaid and Seyfried is in the final stages of negotiations. Sweeney will play Millie, a young woman who is a recently hired housemaid looking for a new beginning. Seyfried plays Nina, who, along with her wealthy husband, Andrew, have dangerous secrets. Rebecca Sonnenshine is writing the script that adapts the bestselling novel by Freida McFadden.
