Jesus is God - Jesus is the Word - Jesus Was and Is and Is To Come - John 1:1-5 Intro

Jesus was in the beginning with God and is God. All glory to the most High. He was the Word, He is the Word and the darkness cannot grasp it, understand it or seize upon it. John 1 gives us the first piece of evidence that Jesus is God and that there is indeed as trinity even though the word trinity is never mentioned in the Bible. It is not an invention of the Nicean Council as Satan would have you believe. The Greek language has two words for "word": logos and rhema. Understanding the difference between logos and rhema will give us a deeper understanding of the Gospels, of the nature of Jesus Christ, the role of believers and the fate of non-believers on judgement day. Only those justified by the Word will not be condemned on the final day. Those who have spoken idly and with error will be condemned and the darkness will comprehend and seize upon them.

Luke 8:11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word (LOGOS) of God."

Hebrews 4:12 "For the word (LOGOS) of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

1 Peter 1:23 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word (LOGOS) of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."

John 15:3 "Now ye are clean through the word (LOGOS) which I have spoken unto you"

Matthew 12:36 "But I say unto you, That every idle word (RHEMA) that men shall speak, they shall give account (LOGOS) thereof in the day of judgment."

John 1:5 "The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend (KATALAMBANO) it."
