Putin Apologises For "Tragic" Azerbaijan Airlines Plane Crash In Kazakhstan

Russia's President Vladimir Putin has apologised for the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash to Azeri President Ilham Aliyev. According to the Kremlin, "(President) Vladimir Putin apologised for the tragic incident that occurred in Russian airspace and once again expressed his deep and sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured." The plane crashed on December 25 and killed 38 people out of 67 on board. The passenger flight J2-8243 crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan after being diverted from the southern Russian city of Grozny, where the Kremlin said Ukrainian drones were attacking the region.
