Trillium Lake Campground in Mount Hood National Forest, Oregon, is ubiquitous to Mount Hood and is one of the premiere Campgrounds in Mount Hood National Forest! It has 57 Campsites, Reservable @ Recreation.gov, a Hiking Loop around the Shoreline called Trillium Lake Loop, two Boat Launches - one for Campers ONLY, one for Day Use ONLY, an Amphitheater and Pavilion, and a separate area called Trillium Lake Dam Day Use Area on the SW Shoreline which is considered one of the best and most classic Mountain Views in the entire State of Oregon!

This was done on October 24, 2024 around Sunrise, after the Campground had been closed for the Season. It was approximately 29°F, and the last day of the year, according to the forecast, before the annual snow accumulation begins. The Elevation of this Campground is around 3600 FT. PLEASE NOTE: Campsite #1 was Taken, but it was a lower quality Inner Campsite which I wouldn't recommend anyway, so the Campsite Review sequentially captures Campsite #2 thru Campsite #57.

Here are my recommendations for the Best Campsites depending on your priorities:

The Best Campsites for a Single Family / Party Heavily Factoring in Privacy are: 14, 22, 23, 28, 53, 55 (In No Order)

The Best Campsites for Shoreline Proximity Sacrificing Privacy as a Tradeoff are: 3, 4, 6, 12, 37, 39, 41, 43 (In No Order)

The Best Campsites for an RV Heavily Factoring in Driveway / Parking are: 16 & 34

The Best Campsite for Direct Picnic Table Views of Mount Hood Peak is 15.

The Best Campsites for a Group Party Atmosphere are:
45, 48, 50 (In No Order)
