I was first introduced to this story and product by one of my mentors Dr. Fred Bisci. There are some epic podcasts and videos with Dr. Bisci and Mr. Shepherd where you can take a deep dive into the value of this antioxidant.

In 2003 NASA research scientist Sam Shepard was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Chemotherapy and radiation were not even options.

He tasked his team with finding out which animals do not get cancer and why. They found that there were five animals that all shared a common molecule in their chemistry. Pink flamingos, sharks, salmon, elephants and the naked mole rat.

That molecule is astaxanthin, an extremely powerful antioxidant.
According to Sam Shepherd there are four free radicals at the foundation of most disease states: superoxide, singlet oxygen, hydrogen peroxide and hydroxyls.

Astaxanthin neutralizes all of them.

They are mostly produced by diet, stress, and pollution
Of course, we can also find a rich concentration of antioxidants in colorful plant-based foods like deep, pigmented berries and green juices. Even raw cacao!
However, nothing comes close to the potency of astaxanthin in this supplement form.

Initially through self experimentation and dose testing Sam Shepard is 100% cancer free and owns a patent on using astaxanthin as a cancer treatment.

Full disclaimers:

1) This is not a cure all. It’s another tool in the toolbox. In my opinion it is a powerful one.
