Time lapse captures longest blood moon eclipse of the century

On Friday, July 27th (2018) millions of people had the opportunity to see an event known as a “blood moon”. It was the longest lunar eclipse in this century, visible for most of the world. Only Greenland and North America couldn't watch it.

It is called a ‘blood moon” because of the red/ orange color that occurs when the full moon moves into the shadow of the earth cast by the sun. In this video you can see the different stages of the eclipse, mostly in time lapse.
