Israeli officials confirmed that the Air Force carried out its largest strike to date in Yemen, targeting key infrastructure, including the Sanaa International Airport. World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom said the Israeli strike missed him and other UN officials by "metres" , adding that "one of our plane's crew members was injured."
The Houthi-run Al Masirah TV said two people were killed in strikes on the airport, while one person was killed and several others wounded in strikes on Hodeida, Salif, and Ras Kanatib ports.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said targets included “infrastructure used by the Houthi terror regime for its military activities”. Prime Minister Benjamim Netanyahu said the strikes will continue until the "job is done". Defence minister Israel Katz said "we will hunt down all the Houthi leaders, hit them as we have done elsewhere. No one will be able to escape Israel's long arm. The Israeli strikes came after Netanyahu said he had ordered the destruction of Houthi infrastructure to avenge recent missile and drone attacks on Israel by the Yemeni armed group.
