Justice and Monotheism

Justice is the cornerstone of monotheism. In fact, it is the belief in One God that establishes justice because this One and ONLY TRUE GOD is the GOD OF ALL and not just some. No one is outside of God's knowledge and God will not leave the injustices against anyone to go unpunished. Whoever does an act of injustice against anyone has trespassed against the right God gave to His creation. At the heart of it, civilization under monotheism asks for impartiality in judgement and to uphold the rights of all even if it is against yourself, your children, your parents, or family, your tribe, your ethnicity and your nationality. It is impossible to be a monotheist and favor someone who has done wrong over someone who has done right.

God says in the Quran: Indeed, Allah commands you to return trusts to their rightful owners;1 and when you judge between people, judge with fairness. What a noble commandment from Allah to you! Surely Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing. (4:58)

O believers! Stand firm for justice as witnesses for Allah even if it is against yourselves, your parents, or close relatives. Be they rich or poor, Allah is best to ensure their interests. So do not let your desires cause you to deviate ˹from justice˺. If you distort the testimony or refuse to give it, then ˹know that˺ Allah is certainly All-Aware of what you do. (4:135)

O believers! Stand firm for Allah and bear true testimony. Do not let the hatred of a people lead you to injustice. Be just! That is closer to righteousness. And be mindful of Allah. Surely Allah is All-Aware of what you do. (5:8)

This is what Allah teaches all people who care to learn and listen and obey Him. The Quran is not just for Muslims, it's forever wants to learn exalted manners and civilized ways. I especially invite all those Islamophobes to rise above pure hatred and bigotry and to read with an open mind what Allah wants from you. If you are a Christian then you will know there are similar commands in the Bible:

Isaiah 1:17. "Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause."

Psalm 37:28-29 “The Lord loves justice. He will never leave his faithful all alone. They are guarded forever, but the children of the wicked are eliminated. The righteous will possess the land; they will live on it forever.”

It is not that fairness will gain quick victories. Rather, being fair might result in slow victories and minimal returns but we do not seek the reward of this world alone. We also seek the eternal garden of paradise where the reward will be everlasting. Let us drop our hatred and bigotry towards any human being and accept the humanity of all people whether they be for us or against us. Remember that every Prophet's struggle was a struggle against tyranny and a means by which establish JUSTICE.
