DHS Confirms Illegal Migrant Arrested For Setting Woman On Fire, Deported In 2018 Under Trump

Recently released data shows that more than 271,000 migrants – out of the 2.9 million who entered the country in 2024 – were deported – 89,000 of which had criminal charges or convictions. The new data is back in the spotlight after a horrific crime in New York – and is the focus of today’s border report.
The illegal migrant that has been arrested for allegedly setting a woman on fire in a new York subway then watching her burn to death – crossed into the country illegally in 2018 – but he was deported days later by the Trump administration.
However, he snuck back into the country without being detected by border patrol or CBP, becoming one of the millions of got-aways that are living in the United States at this very moment.
In fact, since October of 2023 – more than 900,000 got-aways crossed into the country sparking concerns among many officials who are focused on the criminal element that is slipping past an overwhelmed border patrol agents as millions of migrants are showing up each year.
In fact, Customs and Border Protection data showing that the number of criminal encounters in the past three years has spiked 350% to a high of almost 33,000 in fiscal year 2023.
According to Border Patrol, agents have apprehended hundreds of gang members including those from Venezuela’s violent prison gang Tren De Aragua who have been taking over apartment complexes, torturing people who owe them money and have set up shop in 16 states across the nation.
