Woman’s Refusal to Identify Herself Escalates Her Situation with Police

On May 1, 2024, officers from the Des Moines Police Department were called to the scene of a reported physical altercation between a man and a woman. Witnesses stated that the two individuals were engaged in a heated argument, which quickly escalated into physical violence, with both parties allegedly hitting each other during the confrontation.

She was transported to the Polk county jail and charged with interference with official acts.
