The ULTIMATE Chicken Soup Dream of Indonesia 🇮🇩 Medan Street Food

Today I went to try two very famous chicken soups in Medan, the first one is Soto Medan, specifically, Soto Ayam. Soto means soup and it's a staple of the Indonesian street food scene; there are multiple regional variations of soto and Medan's soto is particular in which it contains turmeric which gives to it its characteristic colour and aromatic taste. I tried this at Soto Kesawan, an authentic eatery in the earth of Kesawan district; I was surrounded by locals and the atmosphere was really unique.

Next I went to try another celebrated dish in Medan: the famous chicken curry Bee Hoon at Tabona Restaurant. This is a rice vermicelli noodles dish swimming in chicken curry and bony chicken pieces. That chicken sinking in a rich coconut curry still gives me tasty nightmares. Keep following me around Indonesia for some tasty moments together!
