Stretching from Alabama and Georgia to Maine, the Appalachian Mountain range was formed millions of years ago before being settled by Native Americans and, later, European immigrants. The Appalachian culture is widely known for its superstitions, myths, legends and folklore, and, of course, monsters lurking in the shadows. The best-known legends and lore include the Moon-Eyed People, Bigfoot, Mothman, the Bell Witch and the Brown Mountain lights. But tales and sightings of werewolves and dogmen have become quite frequent over recent years. On this episode of “A Glitch in the Matrix,” Long Island Bigfoot Mike joins Jessica to discuss Appalachian Werewolves and his personal encounters with Dogman in New York.
