I ask you to vote for Bill Fountain for CMS school board district one, fall of 2025

Introduction. I'm Bill Fountain, and I’m running for district one seat on the CMS school board in November 2025.

Why am I running? For too long our school board has focused on social engineering such as steering children toward a victimhood mindset and undermining the family values parents teach at home. This is done at the expense of teaching students the basics (3Rs) and honoring the student code of conduct. As a result, student performance has suffered. 28.4 % of our students meet the state standard in math 1, and 29% students in 3rd grade reading. This type of performance undermines our children's future, particularly students of color. Plus, many teachers and students lack productive classrooms because misbehavior is tolerated. To save our public schools, I'd refocus on the basics and orderly classrooms and remove social engineering from the classroom.

Why am I qualified? With leadership success as an Air Force Lieutenant Colonel combat fighter pilot and defense planner plus as a program and marketing manager in a Fortune 101 company, I will be an effective change agent. Also, as a licensed and experienced middle and high school teacher in North Carolina, I know the challenges of teaching, school administration, and parental concerns for the safety and success of their children. I have the leadership, teamwork, and in school experience and drive to help the CMS Board, administrators, teachers and parents to work together to focus on our children’s academic success.

What are my goals? I'm committed to moving classroom lessons to an education designed for self-reliance and post high school success. My goals:

* Hold CMS leadership accountable for student performance and transparency.

* Invigorate the student-teacher-parent relationship to include parental rights and values and school choice.

* Create an environment that values classical education, the child development process, and age-appropriate learning materials.

* Respect the code of student conduct for safe and productive classrooms.

Request your support: donations, passing out palm cards during early voting, placing yards sign in your front yards, and/or knocking on doors.
