Merry Sober Christmas 🎅🏻🎄⛄️

Before I got sober, I would have been feeling sorry for myself for [insert any reason]. I often found myself drinking, then obsessing over how perfect other people’s Christmas’ were compared to mine. I liked their card better, their house was decorated better, they had a party that was bigger and better than mine… jealousy is one of the worst resentments!

Here I am, 3rd sober Christmas, and I could insert any reason to feel sorry for myself. And sure, I even have a valid life challenge going on, but I keep noticing that I’m not fixated on any difficulty, setback, or comparison with others. And why? Because I’ve been living with GRATITUDE in my heart each and every day. And I’m very happy to celebrate another holiday season healthy and well ♥️
And it’s much easier to properly pull off Santa duties when I’m sober 😉🤶 #RecoveryPosse
