Don ca tai tu is a typical folk art form of the Southern region. This is an art form of musical instruments and singing, sung by ordinary people, young men and women in the Southern countryside after working hours. Don ca tai tu appeared more than 100 years ago, a type of performance with a band consisting of four instruments: the zither, the co, the zither and the monochord (called the four absolutes). Later, there was an innovation by replacing the monochord with a guitar with concave frets. The participants of Don ca tai tu are mostly friends and neighbors. They gather to share elegant pleasures, so they are usually not fussy about costumes.
