A Minecraft Movie | Special Look Trailer

With only a few months left until the video game adaptation arrives, the latest news comes in the form of a second trailer for A Minecraft Movie. Highlighting the origins of Steve, the trailer recaps how the imaginative kid grew up to be the adult living in the Overworld. He's eventually joined by the other main characters, and they learn that evil forces are intent on destroying the world. A series of action-packed sequences are teased, and the trailer concludes with the infamous nighttime aspects of the game, including zombies and arrow-slinging skeletons.

A Minecraft Movie is set to release on April 4, 2025. This will come almost two years after the production of the movie begins. Production was slated to begin on August 7, 2023, in New Zealand, but shifted to spring 2024. This delay was due to the SAG/AFTRA strike which saw a majority of Hollywood productions halted as actors fought for fair wages. According to a post by Jason Momoa in April 2024, A Minecraft Movie wrapped filming.
