Australian Finance Minister Katy Gallagher announces that the Digital ID Act 2024 will officially take effect on December 1, 2024.
She assures Australians that the system will offer a "safe and voluntary" method for verifying their identity in online transactions with government and businesses.
Safe and voluntary sure sounds similar to safe and effective.
