Contractor convicted of stealing more than $100K from customers failing to pay back restitution
6 years ago
Homeowners in Hernando County paid a licensed contractor more than $100,000 to repair their sinkhole homes. Instead, the victims wound up stuck with houses they could not sell. The case, part of an I-Team investigation, had multiple arrests and a felony conviction. Now, 5 years later, the man prosecutors describe as the "main player" is walking away without paying court-ordered restitution.
