The Reason Jesus Came To Earth

The last reason that Jesus came was to seek and save that which was lost and honestly I think that this is something that we don’t do enough of today. Most of the people that Jesus ministered to were what we would call street people.

These are people who are undesirable and unkempt. These often are people who smell and are not clean, the type that most would avoid and would not want to touch. Jesus came to help the helpless, the ones that no one wants to touch. Those who sleep outside, who are often cold and hungry. Jesus came to seek and save the hopeless.

It’s not until we come to the end of ourselves and our efforts that we can realize our need for Him and be saved. As long as we think we have answers to life’s challenges we will keep failing. Jesus wants to change all of that for us.
So the birth of Jesus is about a lot more than what we see today. The birth of Jesus, the Lord, is about celebrating God’s kind, gracious allowance in that He gave His Son to die so that we could live and be reconciled unto Himself.
