Jehovah Witnesses' SHOCKED After REALIZING Their "PERFECT" Religion is a CULT | Sam Shamoun

Jehovah Witnesses are notorious for twisting the Bible because they manipulate the text to fit their own unique doctrines, which are not supported by traditional Christian interpretations. Here's why:

Selective Translation: They've created their own version of the Bible, the New World Translation (NWT), where they've changed words and meanings to align with their beliefs. For example, they insert the word "other" in Colossians 1:16-17 to imply that Jesus was created, which isn't in the Greek text. This alteration dilutes Jesus' divine nature, suggesting he's just another created being when the original text clearly states he's the creator of all things.

Colossians 1:16-17 (NWT): They add "other" several times, which isn't in the Greek, to make it seem like Jesus is not the creator but part of creation.

Misinterpretation of Key Terms: They redefine theological terms. For instance, the term "firstborn" in Colossians 1:15 is used by them to mean "first-created," which is not its biblical context. In Jewish culture, "firstborn" often signifies preeminence or rank, not literally the first one born or created.

Colossians 1:15 (NWT): They interpret "firstborn of all creation" to mean Jesus was the first thing created, which distorts the meaning of preeminence and authority in creation.
Omitting or Changing Divine Titles: They avoid or change references to Jesus as "God" or "Lord" in some translations, which is a clear attempt to reduce his divinity. For instance, in John 1:1, they translate "the Word was God" as "the Word was a god," which fundamentally changes the doctrine of the Trinity.

John 1:1 (NWT): By adding the indefinite article "a," they imply Jesus is just a lesser god, not one with the Father, which is a significant doctrinal shift from traditional Christianity.

Selective Scripture Use: They emphasize certain scriptures that seem to support their views while ignoring or downplaying others that contradict their teachings. For example, they use Revelation 7:4 to argue only 144,000 go to heaven, but they don't address other scriptures that suggest a broader salvation.
