Archaeologists have spent decades uncovering fascinating evidence that proves the existence of royal residence in the Bible. In the fifth episode of the “David & The Giants” series, Michael Lane builds up our account of King David’s existence with evidence found by archaeologists in the city of David. What did they find? In the 1920s, archaeologists R.A.S. Macalister and J. Garrow Duncan began digging in Jerusalem and found massive walls of some type of building. Fast forward to the 1960s, archaeologists found things like broken pottery that indicated the structure was grand, most likely a royal palace dating back to 10th and 11th century B.C.
