Discerning the signs of a False Prophet!

Next, he outlines the different types of prophets, pointing out the characteristics of each. While false prophets are self-focused, greedy, have hidden agendas, and claim to have special revelations, the novices are those who are ignorant and classified as being in the gray area. The novices are also proud and caught in the valley of decision; thus, they can eventually become either real or false prophets. However, Joseph clarifies that a novice can still be saved if they hearken to the rebuke given to them, thereby heading toward the light in a 30-, 60-, and 100-fold.

Furthermore, Joseph explains that real mature prophets are saddled with the responsibility of edifying and equipping the body of Christ. He leads us to 2 Peter 2:1-3 to further elaborate on the qualities of false prophets while referencing 2 Thessalonians 2:9 to reveal the antidote for false prophets. He assures us that God has called us to rise in this present evil age, for it is God’s will for us to do so. In addition, Joseph leads us to Revelation 19:10 to conclude that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
