Many women OVERDO or UNDERDO their protein grams

☕ Protein Talk Time! (yes, I'm that primal coach who gets oddly excited about amino acids)

Let's chat about why you might be either going HAM on protein 🐗 or barely eating enough to keep a mouse alive 🐭. Finding that sweet spot is key!

Here's my "I've-tried-everything-because-autoimmune-life" protein formula for the gals:

Take your goal weight (in kg) × 1.5 = the daily protein grams that might be most beneficial for you

*sips collagen decaf coffee thoughtfully*

NO, not the 0.8g/kg that conventional wisdom preaches And definitely not the 1g per lb bodyweight that fitness influencers push…

Here's the tea: Too much protein + low carb = your body converting excess protein to glucose (hello, gluconeogenesis!). That can stall weight loss and stress your system. Not exactly what we're going for!

🥚 Priority protein lineup 🥩
1. Animal foods first (yes, I'm THAT person who brings a baggie of almonds or a stick of jerky everywhere)
2. Nuts & seeds (and dairy if your body plays nice with it)
3. Collagen or beef isolate powder for that glow-from-within skin support ✨

💖🛒 Here's my favorite powder that costs me less than $14/month and can be found on Amazon: Zen Principle Grass-Fed Collagen Peptides. It's Paleo and Keto Friendly, GMO and Gluten Free, Pasture-Raised Bovine. https://amzn.to/41L6vxj *As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Why am I obsessed with the right amount and types of protein for my body? Because balanced protein =
• Sustainable weight loss (no more hangry episodes while running errands)
• Radiant skin, hair, and nails (collagen support is everything)
• Happy hormones (endometriosis, PCOS, and autoimmune warriors, where you at? 🙋‍♀️)

*Obligatory disclaimer because lawyers: This is just me sharing my journey, not medical advice. Work with your practitioner, especially if your thyroid / hormones like to keep things interesting! ✌️
