The Oldest Christmas Carol: Jesus, Light of All Nations

We sing many wonderful and worshipful Christmas carols each Advent season, but most of these hymns were written within the past 200-250 years. What did Christians sing before these songs were composed? Jesus, Light of All Nations (Jesus Refulsit Omnium) is the oldest known Christmas song. This Latin hymn was composed by St. Hilary of Poitiers in the 4th Century AD.
