The "tent city" that grew under Fort Washington way no longer exists: Its residents have been evicted, the concrete has been power-washed and a chain-link fence will prevent any future attempts at settling down in the same spot. However, many of the people who lived there remain homeless, without access to safe shelter or medical care.
