Sen Chris Coons: "I have encouraged the presidents to seriously consider commuting the sentences to life in prison without hope of parole for these truly heinous criminals.. I think there are reasons, both in terms of racial justice, due process, and what it says domestically and to the world about our values if we were to go ahead and execute all of these individuals, rather than have them spend the rest of life in prison.
