Maharashtra Portfolio Allocation: The BJP-led Mahayuti government in Maharashtra announced the much-awaited portfolio allocation on Saturday with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis keeping Home Ministry. NCP leader Ajit Pawar will look after the Finance and Planning Departments in the state Cabinet.

As many as 39 ministers took oath on December 15 as the highly-anticipated cabinet expansion of the new BJP-led Maharashtra government finally took place after over a week of negotiations. While 33 legislators were sworn in as cabinet ministers, six took oath as ministers of state.
