THE GREAT GOSPEL OF JOHN – Volume 10, Chapters 49 & 50
Revealed by Jesus Christ thru the inner Word to Jakob Lorber

Chapter 49 – Pellagius heals One who is Possessed

1. When they came to Me, the innkeeper said: “Lord and Master from eternity, here are the two of them! It was not easy to bring them here. Only, they could not resist the power of Your will.”

2. Said I: “It is good that they are here, so that you may come to properly learn the difference between so-called fools, epileptics and those who are truly possessed by evil spirits.

3. These, however, already belong to the severely possessed, and other men may only free them of the Philistine spirits that possess them through praying and much fasting. But in this case, neither praying nor fasting will be required.

4. The younger one, who is possessed by merely 5 spirits, may be released from their grasp by any one of you, for you are strengthened by Me; the elder one, however, possessed by 17 spirits, cannot be freed of the evil dwelling within him by any of you without My special power of will, because for this purpose, even your combined faith still contains too little true living divine power. This you will only receive when once you are entirely permeated by My Spirit – which is, as of yet, not the case with you.

5. But now, Pellagius, I assign you to the younger one. Lay your hands upon him in My name and say: ‘In the name of Jesus, the Lord, I command you all to leave this man, to exit him in a visible manner, in the form that is inherent to your old, stubborn wickedness!’

6. Once you do this, friend, the 5 demons will immediately exit this man, leaving him forever. So go and do it!”

7. Thereupon the captain went over to the possessed one and did as I had advised him to do, and the 5 evil spirits exited the man in the form of 5 vaporous snakes with bat wings, circling our heads for some time.

8. Then a voice was clearly heard by us all, originating from the spirits, and it spoke as follows: “Lord, You almighty One, when will deliverance dawn for us in severe captivity?”

9. Said I: “Once your will changes. Though you spirits know the truth, being no strangers to the light of life, why then, even after 1000 years, do you still hang onto the old lie and its works of rigid stubbornness? Change your will and beg for forgiveness and mercy to the One who is Lord over everything and forever will be, then will deliverance dawn for you!”

10. The spirits said: “Lord, that is what we want, but give us another and better will, and thereby bestow upon us Your forgiveness and mercy. Deliver us from the old evil of the lie and all its works, for we too are descendants of Abraham, even though we come from Esau.”

11. Said I: “It shall be as you yourselves wish it. Now go, return whence your love and will guide you!”

12. The spirits said: “Lord, we feel neither love nor a will within ourselves. Do unto us as You see fit, according to Your mercy, for we are sick and tired of our own will and love!”

13. Said I: “Then ascend to the region of this earth where purer brothers will guide you further!”

14. Once I had uttered these words, the 5 spirits took on human form, as if formed from light vapor. They took hold of one another and floated away like a small fleecy cloud, ever more transparent until they were gone entirely.

15. The man who was freed from the 5 spirits that had tormented him came to Me and said: “O Lord and Master, for one I thank You for having granted me release from my great torment, yet, as a heathen, I also acknowledge that, from now on, I will no more believe in any of our many gods, and I shall no longer worship them, for You alone are the God of all gods, men and creatures of this earth, and all demons must bow before Your name! Therefore, all honor, all love and all praise eternally unto You!

16. And what I have said aloud just now, I also swear before of all men and all gods to whom countless people adhere and sacrifice still, but who, in truth, are nothing, having no power or authority.

17. If, however, there nonetheless were some higher god against whom I may have sinned with this candid confession, then let him hurl a flash of lightning at me from the heavens and kill me!”

18. The young man’s people, who were all heathens still, were frightened by his oath, and they expected Zeus to be terribly offended, so much so that he would certainly destroy him who was freed by hurling a flash of lightning at him from the heavens.

19. However, there was no flash of lightning, and the young man said to his family: “Why do you expect a punishment from a place whence no punishment should be expected? For there is no Zeus, and even less so a flash of lightning by his power or hand, neither of which have ever existed either.

20. Behold, the One here, before whom I kneel down in gratitude, He is the true and almighty Zeus! If He were to command thousands upon thousand of flashes of lightning to descend from the clouds, or even the cloudless sky, upon the earth, then they would indeed come down, destroying what He had destined to be destroyed.”

21. Said I to the freed young man: “Stand up, My son, and remain with your new faith, for then you will nevermore be harmed. But now let us free your brother as well, from the 17 spirits that torment him so!”

Chapter 50 – The Lord drives out 17 spirits from One who is Possessed

1. Once I had said that, the heathens who were present were seized by fear and great fright, for they already had great respect for the 5 spirits.

2. I quickly rose from My place, walked over to the possessed one and spoke, with My hand held high: “I wish it, and so leave, exit the bowels of this man, visibly before all who are present, for you have no right to possess and torment him!”

3. The evil spirits rocked the man back and forth a few times, so that he fell to the ground, but he quickly stood up again when they exited his body in the form of little black crocodiles.

4. Unlike the 5 spirits, this lot appeared much more dense and could not lift themselves into the air, and instead crawled around on the ground. They finally turned their mouths in My direction and furiously screeched at Me: “What have we to do with You? We do not know You and could never have violated Your laws on earth, because they never existed. What right do You have to chastise us now? Why did You drive us out by You superior power, out of our dwelling that we had great difficulty conquering?”

5. Said I: “Were you not there when I gave the laws on Mount Sinai? Who urged you at that time to defy Me, to mock Me, to make a golden calf and then to worship it instead of Me? You were the greatest troublemakers then and convinced many people to turn their backs on Me. How then could you say now that I am a complete stranger to you and that I have never given you any laws according to which I may now justly command you?!

6. That which happened to you at the time when Moses returned to you in the valley, when he, in justified zealous anger, smashed the stone tablets upon which the law was written down, the same shall happen to you now. So leave this place, for no salvation will come upon you for a very long time!”

7. They then crawled away in a hurry, along the steep slope of the hill to a swampy trench that was densely overgrown with all kinds of weeds, and they howled and screeched wildly.

8. Then the captain said to Me: “O Lord and Master, that trench will be a bane for all the inhabitants of this place if You will not purify it of those 17 wicked demons, for even I was afraid of these truly bestial spirits. So please, do not allow them to remain in that trench!”

9. Said I: “Wait a moment until I am done with the one I just healed, then we shall see how this trench may be purified!”

10. Thereupon the second healed one fell on his knees before Me, he thanked Me for the healing of his torment that had lasted several years already, and then he made the same confession of faith his brother had done before. He asked Me not to forget the request of the captain, for he could not look down into the dirty trench without disgust either.

11. Said I: “Just a little more proper patience, for it remains to be seen whether or not 1 of the 17 spirits will return in another form and argue with Me. For even spirits such as these retain an entirely free will.”

12. The captain said: “Lord and Master, how come those spirits became visible to us in the form of these hideous creatures that I know? Even though the first 5 changed their appearance in the end, these 17 retained their horrible and ugly appearance in which they first appeared to us, and they left this place looking just as they did before. Why is it that these spirits become visible to us in such forms?”
