Shrimp and Corn Chowder is a hearty rich and flavorful soup that you’re going to want to get warm and cozy with! It has tender meaty shrimp, sweet corn and potatoes in a delicious creamy broth. It’s the perfect dish for a crisp chilly evening!

Shrimp & Corn Chowder

Ingredients
1 lb shrimp
3 tablespoons butter
3 ribs celery, chopped
1 onion
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons flour
3 cups chicken broth
2 cups corn
2 large potatoes, peeled and sliced, cut sliced into 4ths
1 cup heavy cream or half and half
Bread for serving

Directions
Seasoned shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat and sear shrimp on both sides until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Melt butter and sauté celery, onions, and garlic for 3 minutes.
Stir in flour.
In increments, stir in chicken broth.
Add corn and potatoes and season really well with salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium low, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream or half-and-half and bring back to a boil.
Stir in shrimp and remove from heat.
